Food Assistance

  • Meals will be available in Greene County, breakfast from 7:30 am - 8:30 am and lunch from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm at the following locations:

    • Mosheim Elementary School, 297 W School St.

    • South Greene High School, 7469 Asheville Hwy

    • North Greene High School, 4675 Old Baileyton Road

    • Chuckey Doak Middle School, 120 Chuckey Doak Rd

  • Appalachia: Mission Pawsible is providing two weeks of pet food to those impacted by COVID-19 on a case-by-case basis. To get more information, visit their website here or call (423) 398-3380

Economic Assistance

  • Local Utilities:

    • Glen Hills Utility District has closed their lobby to the public but the drive-thru is open M-F from 8 am - 5 pm. If you have been impacted by the coronavirus and are having trouble paying your bill, please contact customer service through the website or call (423) 639-8622

    • Greeneville Light and Power System has closed their lobby to the public, but customers can pay online or via the drive-thru window. For customers who may be experiencing economic difficulties due to the coronavirus, contact GLPS customer service at  (423) 636-6200 to discuss potential payment plan options

    • Greeneville Water Commission has closed their lobby to the public, but it is still possible to pay online, via drive-thru payments M-F 8 am - 5 pm or by drop-box 24/7, online, or at their customer service office at (423) 638-3148. Customers experiencing economic difficulties due to the coronavirus are encouraged to discuss payment plans and options by calling customer service

    • Atmos Energy Corporation has voluntarily suspended disconnections for non-payments due to COVID-19 and will work with customers to develop financial assistance and payment plans. AEC may also waive late fees, charges related to re-connection. For more information please call customer service at (888) 286-6700

Healthcare

  • If you feel you need to be tested for the Coronavirus, please obtain a referral from your doctor. Testing is available at:

    • Greeneville Community Hospital East, 1420 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville TN

    • Drive-thru testing is available at 810 West Church Street in Greeneville. The testing site is open Monday through Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. Health officials said you must call ahead to be screened and pre-approved. The number is (423) 979-4689

  • Ballad Health Nurse Contact Line, available 24/7: (833) 822-5523

  • Northeast TN Regional Health Office: (423) 979-4689

Transportation

  • East Tennessee Human Resource Agency (ETHRA) will schedule transportation services for those without their own means of transportation. People can use this service to obtain groceries, go to work, seek medical attention, or other pressing needs. Fees are $3.00 one way.
