Food
At-Risk Population Services
If you or a loved one is in need of basic supplies, food, or medicine and is unable to leave your home due to medical concerns, volunteers with the local task force are offering delivery services to help. If you are in the at-risk population that is unable to leave their homes during this time and have no other means to receive the items you need, contact Kellie Smith at (423) 586-1668 or email at smithk@hcboe.net.
During spring break, March 23-27, children 18 years old and younger can pick-up breakfast & lunch from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at:
Hillcrest Elementary School, 407 S. Liberty Hill Rd., Morristown
Starting March 30th, Hamblen County Schools will distribute breakfast and lunch to children 18 years or younger M-F 10 am - 1 pm. Child must be present. Meals can be picked up at the following locations:
West High School, 1 Indian path, Morristown
Fairview Elementary School, 2125 Fairview Rd, Morristown
The Boys and Girls Club, Sulphur Springs Rd
Cerritos West Apartments
College Square Mall, 2550 E Morris Blvd

Appalachia: Mission Pawsible is providing two weeks of pet food to those impacted by COVID-19 on a case-by-case basis. To get more information, visit their website here or call (423) 398-3380

Local Utilities:
Morristown Utility Systems have temporarily suspended disconnections and late fees due to non-payment. Customers economically impacted by the coronavirus are encouraged to contact the customer service department at (423)586-4121
Douglas-Cherokee Economic Authority provides emergency assistance in areas such as rent, mortgages, and food. For more information. The number for the Hamblen County Office is (423) 587-3076

Transportation
East Tennessee Human Resource Agency (ETHRA) will schedule transportation services for those without their own means of transportation. People can use this service to obtain groceries, go to work, seek medical attention, or other pressing needs. Fees are $3.00 one way.
