Food
Jefferson County Schools are providing free breakfast and lunch to children 18 years and younger on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Three meals will be given out on Tuesday and three on Friday by drive-thru service. Children must be present to receive the meals. A list of academic resources and non-graded assignments will be distributed along with meals at the following locations:

Jefferson Middle School, 361 W. Broadway Blvd
Patriot Academy, 419 West Dumplin Valley
Rush Strong School, 3081 W. Old A J Hwy
Talbott Elementary School, 848 Talbott-Kansas Rd

Local Utilities:
Mountain Electric Cooperative has closed their lobby to the public. Payments can be made online or at the drive-thru. Customers who have been impacted by the coronavirus can contact (423) 727-1800 or online
Douglas-Cherokee Economic Authority provides emergency assistance in areas such as rent, mortgages, and food. For more information. The number for the Jefferson County Office is (865) 475-4745

Transportation
East Tennessee Human Resource Agency (ETHRA) will schedule transportation services for those without their own means of transportation. People can use this service to obtain groceries, go to work, seek medical attention, or other pressing needs. Fees are $3.00 one way.
