I plan to invest in people instead of corporations, and while I value a strong military, my experience in the Air Force tells me that there is money that can be saved and reinvested back at home. We are involved in too many costly conflicts throughout the world that do not actually make us safer. There are, and will always be, good reasons for keeping our forces on the ground abroad, but we need to redefine how we use our global influence and seek new solutions to conflicts that have gone on for decades.
