Blair will be attending the unveiling of "Passing the Torch", the mural designed and created by artist Ellen Elmes to mark the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment and the pivotal role Tennessee played in helping women obtain the right to vote.
To celebrate the beautiful and inspiring new mural, the Johnson City Women's Suffrage Centennial Coalition is hosting an outdoor event where social distancing and mask wearing is required.

A procession by coalition members in suffrage dress will kick off the celebration. The celebration will include a reenactment illustrating Tennessee's role in the ratification of the 19th amendment as well as the official acceptance of the mural by the Johnson City mayor.  https://www.facebook.com/events/423109521985149/
